1. Introduction

This privacy policy explains how the LERM-CIVIL mobile application ("App") handles information. The App is designed for civil engineering, building material, and geo-technical laboratories.

Important: The App is a WebView wrapper that connects directly to your laboratory's own private server. The developer does not host, operate, or have access to that server or any data transmitted through the App. Data handling beyond the App is governed by your laboratory's internal policies.

2. What the App Does

  • The App displays your laboratory's existing web platform inside a mobile WebView.
  • All data you enter or view is sent directly from the App to your laboratory's private server.
  • The developer has no ability to intercept, store, or access any lab data.

3. Information Processed by the App

Because the App is a WebView, it temporarily processes the following information solely to transmit it to your laboratory's server:

  • Login credentials (username, password) – sent directly to the client's server for authentication
  • Lab test data (sample IDs, test results, geo-technical measurements, material properties, building material test data)
  • Media files (photos of samples or test setups – if camera permission is granted)
  • Device information (model, operating system version) – only for technical compatibility

4. No Developer Access to Your Data

  • The developer cannot view, store, retrieve, or share any lab data.
  • All data flows directly from your device to your laboratory's private server over an encrypted connection.
  • The developer does not operate any backend, database, or cloud service for this App.

5. Internet Connection Required

This App requires an active internet connection to function.

No offline mode is available. Data is not stored locally on your device beyond temporary session data (cookies/cache) that is cleared when the App is closed or when you log out.

You can deny or revoke camera/storage permissions without affecting core data entry, though some features may be limited.

7. Cookies and WebView Data

The App uses the Android/iOS WebView, which may store:

  • Session cookies (to keep you logged in)
  • Temporary cache files (to load web pages faster)

This data is stored locally on your device and is not accessible to the developer. You can clear it via your device settings or by logging out.

8. Data Security

  • Data in transit between the App and your laboratory's server is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS.
  • Security of stored data on the laboratory's server is the client's responsibility.
  • Please contact your laboratory administrator for their data retention, backup, and security policies.

9. Data Sharing by the Developer

The developer does not:

  • Sell, rent, or share any personal or lab data with third parties
  • Use analytics services that collect test results
  • Access or mine any information from your laboratory's server

The only communication is between the App and your designated laboratory server.

10. Your Rights and Responsibilities

  • To access, correct, or delete your lab data, contact your laboratory's system administrator (the client who owns the server).
  • To delete your App account (if any), contact the same administrator – the developer cannot delete data on the client's server.
  • Uninstalling the App removes all local WebView data from your device.

11. Children's Privacy

This App is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. The developer does not knowingly collect any data from children.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the App's functionality. Material changes will be notified via the App or email. Continued use of the App after changes means acceptance of the updated policy.
